QED Dryer Sales and Mfg., Inc. Company Bio In 1966 while in college to earn his Bachelors in Mathematics, Steven Morreim, founder of QED Dryer Sales & Mfg., Inc., started designing and creating dryers on his parents’ farm in Minnesota. After two years in the Marine Corps, he resumed servicing, designing, and creating dryers while going to graduate school to earn a Masters in Physics. While working at Carter Day out of Minneapolis, MN as International Service Manager of all the production lines, he managed as many as fifty-one union crews at a time all over the world. This included dust filtration systems for steel mills, paper product companies, furniture companies, garbage recycling plants, and grain elevators. During his time there he also specialized in pneumatic conveying systems, seed separating and sizing equipment, and even a baby food factory in Russia. Steve dealt in sales, engineering, and service. After years of working for Carter Day, Steven Morreim became product manager of the grain dryer lines for Chicago Eastern out of Marengo, IL. During his years there, he was the product manager on the grain dryer line; the service manager; the sales engineer on grain dryers, fans, heaters, and bins; and was chief engineer for the last year he was there. In 1979, he developed the Chicago Eastern MiniMAX Dryer. This later became the basis for the new QED dryers. In 1986, he continued to branch out when he founded his own company, QED Dryer Sales and Manufacturing, Inc., and purchased the Chicago Eastern Corporation continuous flow dryer lines. While creating his own improvements, the Profit Master 629 Series was born soon after. Steven continues improving his design to make it the most efficient dryer on the market today! The Millennium 700 Series and the Millennium Magnum 1000 Series continue to prove that years of experience do make a difference in creating the best dryer out there. Recent work has been in electrical energy savings, improving fan efficiencies (cfm/watt) by as much as 31%. By his side every step of the way, Janet Morreim fulfills the duties of Executive Vice President since the beginning. Eric Morreim has worked on building and servicing the QED Dryer since he was 7 years old. Traveling the world since the age of 12 with QED, learning from his father Steven Morreim every step of the way. After graduating in 2008 from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelors in Sales and Marketing, he has been promoted to Vice President of Sales. This actual website was design and created by Eric Morreim. Nicole Fruit has over 15 years of experience working with the dryers. From drilling sheet metal to building control panels, she has learned the manufacturing and electrical side to the dryer. Getting her bachelor’s in 2003 at Northern Illinois University Tiffeny Morreim has over 15 years of experience working with the dryers. Servicing dryers and traveling around the world has become her forte. Learning the assembly of the dryer and the electrical panels and system within the dryer, her knowledge of the dryers continues to astound. |
